I also love baking and anything to do with Goldendoodles.

Heather HamiltonHello there. My name is Heather Hamilton. I am a senior at UVU completing my BS in Integrated Studies with minors in Sociology and Economics. I intend to continue to an MS-JD, so school won’t be ending anytime soon. I am the mother of 4 adults, 3 at university and 2 who are married. I am deeply proud of each one and love spending time with them in all their exciting lives while we explore the outdoors. We also love cooking together while having deep discussions about every topic under the sun. I have done things in a non-traditional way – worked many years as a professional while raising my kids, then returned to school to finish what I started. I am working on two projects – one is a new economic model that is based on capitalism with a social based regulatory structure, and the other is a non-profit that helps set up youth transitioning out of foster care to achieve their best life. I love to “culturedive” through traveling, reading, writing, & cooking.

Matthew KnotekHello! My name is Matthew Knotek, I am a Junior at Utah Valley University. Throughout my time at Utah Valley I could never decide between which fields I wanted to study so I figured out a way to combine them all into one.
Integrated Studies offered me the opportunity to combine my passions of both Sociology and Music into one major. Growing up I spent most of my time outside. I am never the type of person that likes to be inside for too long. That life stresses me out! From this upbringing I developed a fondness for nature and all of its wondrous creativity. Sunshine, rain, plants, rocks and animals all provide moments of time that resonate within me. |
Victor PereyaMy name is Victor Pereyra. I am a senior in the Integrated Studies program. My areas of emphasis are Religion and Philosophy. I am interested in pursuing a career as a mental health therapist focusing on the underserved Latino and Polynisian communities. I am a returning student coming back to finish my degree after 10 years away from school. I love reading, especially horror. Stephen King is one of my favorite authors. I'm a big sports fan, since I’m originally from Houston TX, I cheer for all of the Houston sports teams. I also DJ and love to latin dance. My goal is to bring a different perspective to this project by exploring some spiritual aspects of why conservation to Utah lake is important.
